The mission of our church is “to glorify God by making disciples through the power of the gospel.” This mission is based on Jesus’ great commission to His disciples (Matt. 28:18-20) which clearly becomes the guiding passion of God’s followers for the rest of the New Testament. Acts is the history of this mission impacting the known world and the epistles are Paul’s practical outworking of that mission in local churches. There’s no question that God wants His people to be making disciples of others.
Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:1-2
"You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus,
and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also."
God’s clear plan for the church is for His people to teach one another God’s truths. And yet few Christians know how to to actually get this mission accomplished! We know that we need to do it, but we don’t seem to know how. In the "Resources" pages, you will find books and downloadable booklets to help you become a better disciple as well as help you disciple others.
